Songs of Resurrection Sung

Frost crystals hang like silver light
from slender limbs of pine
which sag as old men sag with years
when strength gives way to time.

The winds of silence blow so soft
'cross frost now frozen fast;
like fine cut China lightly stroked
pine trees begin, at last,
to sing of spring and burdens born
as winter takes her rest
upon the needles of green pine -
a symbiotic quest.

" We share our limbs of sturdy pine
with winter frost and snow
which melts with spring and gives us life
to help the forest grow.
We're proud to bear our share of weight
for it becomes the dew
of nature's tears dripped into soil
enriching life anew."

The fury of the winter storms
is loved and understood
as songs of resurrection sung
for life within the wood.
