A Singularity

I know I put them somewhere,
they could be on our bed,
there's certainly a lot more space,
now I have room to spread.

They could be in the freezer,
behind the meals for one,
or in the shattered fragments of
our damage left undone.

Perhaps they're in our photograph
--exchanging wedding bands--
which stands beside your lawyer's list
of settlement demands.

I feel their haunting shadows,
as ghosts beyond my view.
It sadly seems I have mislaid,
fond memories of you.
